Continuity for cooperation in cabling contracts for wind power parks
Infratiera contracted with Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne (KSBR Oy) for the overall delivery of the cabling contract for the Rasakangas wind power project in Kurikka in South Ostrobotnia, and for the Voimamylly wind power project in the Humppila-Urjala area in Southwestern Finland. The contract includes 30kV cabling for a total of 14 turbines. This corresponds to about 24 kilometers of underground cabling.
The delivery is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2021.
Continuity of substation and power line deliveries
Successful deliveries to Ilmatar Energy enabled the contract for two new substations for the Alajärvi main project. The signed contract includes the total supply of two 110 kV substations and a 110 kV transmission line for the wind power project in South Ostrobotnia, Alajärvi, which consists of two wind farms. The work will start in September 2021 and the completion of the project is scheduled for 2023.
The project will implement the Alajärvi – Louhukangas 110 kV power line, as well as the Louhukangas and Möksy 110 kV substations. This entity connects a total of 36 wind turbines to the Alajärvi substation of the Finnish main grid, which is one of Finland’s most significant hubs.
Infratiera’s Alajärvi project complex is expanding with a cabling contract
Infratiera signed the largest cabling contract in the company’s history with Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne Oy (KSBR) for the Alajärvi wind power project. The previous contract was carried out in Välikangas in 2020.
Infratiera implements power lines, substations and, with the new contract now concluded, also cabling work. The contract with KSBR includes almost ten kilometers of 110 kV and 30 kV cabling for a total of 36 turbines. The delivery is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.
Kinnula and Saarijärvi are Infratiera’s newest cabling projects
Winda Energy is building wind turbines in Kinnula and Saarijärvi, totalling 13 between both sites. The main contractor is Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne Oy (KSBR), responsible for the overall implementation of the project. Infratiera carries out the cabling work in the parks. The work started at the beginning of October and the cable route is about 20 kilometers in total.
In the project in question, we have developed unique implementation methods with the customer. This has made the cabling of the wind farm more efficient, meaning the lead-time of the cabling work has been significantly shortened compared to traditional methods. Cabling of both parks will be complete before the end of the year.
Pihtipudas wind park purchase agreement signed
Infratiera contracted with Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne (KSBR Oy) for the overall delivery of the cabling contract for the Pihtipudas wind power project in Central Finland. The contract includes 30kV cabling for a total of 7 turbines. This corresponds to about 6 kilometers of underground cabling.
The delivery is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2021.
